Dr. Thomas R. Clark

President & Executive Director

Dr. Thomas R. Clark is the President and Executive Director of Alpha Psychological Ser-vices, P.C. Dr. Clark is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Psychology (ABFamP), a Fellow of the Academy of Family Psychology, and a Charter Fellow of the American College of Psychology. He is also a Health Service Provider in Psychology with the Council for the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and is a member of the Adjunct Medical Staff at St. John Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Clark has presented widely both nationally and internationally on law enforcement/fire science mental health issues, stress management, human sexuality, and substance abuse/alcohol-ism/chemical dependency at numerous meetings and conventions and has published papers in noted psychological and psychiatric journals. In addition, he has served on several professional boards.

Dr. Clark has served in various capacities as a consultant to scores of police, fire, and public safety departments (as well as numerous businesses, companies, corporations, hospi-tals/health systems, and colleges/universities) with services ranging from post-incident trauma (critical incident stress debriefing-CISD), evaluations for new officer or other new employee hiring (and/or command promotion), to recognition of the problem police officer, firefighter, or employee. He also has been an invited featured speaker at numerous law enforcement meetings and schools. He is one of the few psychologists in the Midwest and the country to serve on the faculty of a major police academy (25 years at the Wayne County Regional Police Academy) and has also taught at the Macomb Police Academy and Schoolcraft Fire Academy.
