Dr. Steven Schwartz

Dr. Steven Schwartz (Ph.D.) is a Clinical Medical Psychologist specializing in helping clients coping with chronic or otherwise serious physical/medical health conditions (e.g., Chronic Pain, Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s disease, Long COVID, and other). In addition, he has experience with neurodivergent clients such as those with ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum. and Mild/Moderate TBI. He has worked in a wide variety of hospital and clinic settings and has served as clinical site leader in several instances, supervising therapists and other health professionals in training (internal medicine, psychiatry, radiology, cardiology, family medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, podiatry, social work, and nursing).

Dr. Schwartz completed his undergraduate degree (BA) at Wayne State University, his MA degree at William and Mary, and obtained his Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, he also completed a specialty internship in Behavioral Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital and post-doctoral fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at the University of Michigan. Dr. Schwartz is also an active entrepreneur and behavioral scientist, having served in various roles in highly successful start up companies (e.g. HealthMedia, MyStrength, among others). He has over 40 papers published in peer review as well as book chapters, trade publications and presentations at local, national, and international conferences.
