Kenneth McDermott, M.A. TLLP
Kenneth McDermott is a Clinical Psychotherapist dedicated to supporting clients through a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, ADHD, and relationship stress. He also offers psychological testing to help identify ADHD and other conditions. Kenneth believes in bringing his authentic self into sessions, so expect to be greeted with a smile and, when appropriate, a few light-hearted jokes. He strives to create a welcoming environment in every session.
Kenneth earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University and his Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology. His approach is rooted in humanistic and person-centered principles, meaning he believes in treating each client as a unique individual with their own strengths and potential. He focuses on creating a non-judgmental, empathetic space where you feel heard and understood. While his practice is grounded in evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), don’t worry if worksheets aren’t your thing—he won’t force them on you!
Everyone’s mental health journey is unique, and often full of ups and downs. Kenneth is here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward a more fulfilling, healthy life.
